Rim Literacy will begin a new after-school reading program after Labor Day. Our new partner will be the Learning Center at the Community Presbyterian Church in Payson. All of us are very excited to begin this new initiative! Payson Community Kids has discontinued its after-school program.
Literacy volunteers read to the KC children at Storytime prior to the distribution. Children ages Pre-K and up are invited to join this activity. Each child also receives a book. After the story, the children join their families to participate in the clothing distribution. Some of the stories we have read are Pete the Cat, Marley the Dog and Biscuit the Dog. Children will receive a Back-to-School supply bag at the July 22 distribution through a partnership with Rim Literacy.
Rim Literacy is no longer providing English language classes or GED preparation classes.
Contact Gila County Adult Education to enroll in any adult education class.
There are morning and evening classes for both beginners and advanced students.

In the fall, Literacy will introduce Storytime with our new partner, The Learning Center at the Presbyterian Church, as well as read with elementary children.
